Job Summary
Ottavio is looking for a reliable, positive, and eager to learn Dishwasher & Line Cook to join our kitchen. This role is the foundation of our daily operations and is a great fit for someone starting out in kitchens or hoping to build real skills in a supportive, tight knit environment.
We’re looking for someone with at least 1 year of experience in a similar role, but what matters most to us is a good attitude, consistency, and a genuine interest in food. Position Details
- Daytime shifts; start between 7:30–10:00am and finish before 6:30pm
- Sunday and Monday availability required. Open availability is ideal.
- 3–5 shifts per week, depending on your availability and kitchen needs.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including basic cooking tasks and assembling dishes according to standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed to meet health and safety regulations
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods by managing dishwashing and cleaning responsibilities
- Restock supplies and organize kitchen stations for efficient workflow
- Follow all safety protocols and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality service to guests or customers
Experience
- Prior experience in restaurant, hotel, or food service environments is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures and food handling standards is advantageous
- Experience with food preparation, cooking, or hospitality roles will be considered a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness
Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role
