KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Services – Operations, the Customer ServiceFinance Officer (Casual Full-Time) is responsible for performing a wide range of clerical and administrative services and support for the City. This position is a hybrid role that greets, assists and provides customer service support and information to clients, visitors and other guests of the City, while conducting transactional financial services as required for the division.
Please note – this is not a summer student position. We are looking for an individual who is available to work 37.5 hours per week for an approximate four-month assignment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The position requires a diploma in accounting or related discipline, along with a minimum of two (2) years of practical experience in an accounting or financial environment. Successful incumbent may be required to obtain a Notary Public designation.
The incumbent will possess strong time management skills reflective of the need to coordinate various financial activities. The successful candidate will have the ability to clearly convey messages both verbally and in writing and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
HOURS OF WORK AND RATE OF PAY:
Hourly Rate of Pay: $39.55 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay. Hours of Work and Duration of Assignment: 37.5 hours per week, approximately 4 months in duration.
