As a member of our Human Resources team, you will join us supporting our exciting and growing business through key partnerships. The Human Resources Coordinator (12 Month Contract) will provide support to Management and Associates in British Columbia and the Prairies. The position may require additional tasks, in addition to HR Administration and working on various HR project initiatives.
In this role you will:
- Monitor and action HR inbox within service level agreements and liaise with Payroll and HR internal partners as needed.
- Provide support to the Regional HR Manager with handling employee/labour relations, roll-out of any HR programs/initiatives, ad-hoc reports, etc.
- Provide administrative support such as initiating any Associate changes into the HCM such as new hires, promotions/transfers, leaves, wage adjustments, exits and also liaising with payroll to ensure that changes are reflected accurately.
- Create internal offer letters, promotion letters and assist with HR Reporting and data analysis to support HRMs with decision making.
- Support Regional HR Manager in Labour Management meetings and other union specific tasks.
- Collaborate closely with the broader HR team to ensure successful implementation of HR initiatives.
- Conduct periodic HR site visits to retail, distribution, or operational locations as required to support associates, provide HR guidance, and ensure alignment with company policies and practices.
- Identify opportunities and propose solutions for continuous improvement relating to HR initiatives, and helping to ensure the smooth operation of HR processes.
- Remain up to date with changes in labor laws, employment regulations, and evolving trends within the HR industry.
- Participate with the region’s Joint Health and Safety Committee.
The Qualifications and Experience we’d like to see:
- Bachelor Degree or College Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field; completed or working towards CHRP/CHRL designation is an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive previous HR experience, preferably in retail or distribution environment; experience in a unionized environment would be an asset.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, handle competing priorities and deadlines, and work well under pressure in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills with proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Detail Orientated and highly organized with strong time management skills, and ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Good judgement, strong decision-making, problem-solving skills, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Bilingual in English and French written/spoken is an asset.
- Competency with Oracle Cloud HCM is an asset.

Additional Information
This is a current open position. The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 annually. Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
