Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Order Picker/Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This role is essential in ensuring efficient order fulfillment and inventory management. The ideal candidate will possess experience operating forklifts and clamp trucks, along with a solid understanding of warehouse distribution processes. Duties
- Safely operate forklift and clamp truck to pick, transport, and organize products within the warehouse
- Utilize warehouse management systems to accurately locate and select items for order fulfillment
- Perform order picking with precision, ensuring correct quantities and product specifications are met
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns
- Assist with inventory counts, stock replenishment, and organizing warehouse storage areas
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of heavy or fragile items through heavy lifting techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Use basic math skills to verify quantities, measurements, and product codes during order processing
Experience
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments preferred
- Proven ability to operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance or troubleshooting is a plus
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory control
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying product information
- Experience with order picker operations is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and adherence to safety protocols are essential for success in this role
Pay: $17.60 per hour
