Duties
- Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Help with the storage of food supplies and ingredients, ensuring proper labeling and rotation.
- Support cooks and chefs during meal service by preparing ingredients and assembling dishes as needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
- Participate in kitchen clean-up duties after meal service, ensuring a tidy work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hotel environments is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic food handling and preparation techniques is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Good communication skills to interact with kitchen staff efficiently.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays.
