INTERMEDIATE HVAC DESIGNER/ENGINEER

BES is currently seeking an intermediate mechanical designer/engineer to expand our engineering division in our Vancouver office. The successful candidate will report to the Director of operations and be responsible for mechanical design for a variety of new construction and retrofit projects for healthcare, municipal, commercial and multi-use buildings.
Tasks include management of the mechanical design, specifications and tender for projects, overseeing construction, performing field reviews and assisting in commissioning.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
· University degree, college/technology diploma in Mechanical Engineering or other applicable area
· Minimum 3 years design experience in HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems
· Good detailed knowledge of mechanical building services engineering codes
· Familiarity with building energy modelling, (i.e., HAP, or IESVE) software would be an asset
· Acad and Revit experience is an asset
· Able to read Architectural, Structural, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical drawings
· Ability to perform accurate detailed site surveys
· Able to sketch ideas
· Professional Engineer (Peng), Applied Science Technologist (AScT) or EIT designations are preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $53,414.00-$100,000.00 per year
