Civil Construction Foreman / Lead Excavator Operator

Riverstone Excavation & Underground Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Construction Foreman / Lead Excavator Operator to join our growing team.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a motivated leader who can take charge of projects, operate equipment efficiently, and deliver high-quality work safely and on schedule.
Required Experience
- Basement excavations and foundation preparation
- Water and sewer service installations
- Underground utility construction
- Hardscape construction and retaining walls
- Lot clearing and site development
- Grading and drainage work
- Reading grades and working with laser levels
Equipment Experience
Applicants must be highly proficient operating:
- Excavators
- Skid steers
- Dozers
- Loaders
- Compaction equipment
Responsibilities
- Lead a crew and keep projects running efficiently
- Complete work safely and to specification
- Interpret grades, elevations, and site plans
- Install underground water, sewer, and storm services
- Perform detailed excavation and grading work
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site
- Communicate effectively with management, clients, and crew members
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of excavation and civil construction experience preferred
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license (DZ license is an asset)
- Experience leading crews on residential, commercial, and civil construction projects
