Job Summary
The Training Coordinator plays a crucial role in the development and implementation of training programs within our organization. This position is responsible for analyzing training needs, coordinating training sessions, and ensuring that all employees are equipped with the necessary skills to excel in their roles. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen understanding of supply chain processes, and proficiency in various systems related to transportation management.
Responsibilities
- Analyze training needs across departments to identify skill gaps and areas for improvement.
- Develop and coordinate comprehensive training programs tailored to enhance employee performance.
- Facilitate training sessions using various methods including workshops, seminars, and e-learning platforms.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities and employee progress through data entry.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment of training objectives with organizational goals.
- Utilize transportation management systems and SyteLine software to support logistics-related training initiatives.
- Ensure effective communication through phone systems, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette during interactions with employees.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by providing relevant training on best practices within the supply chain.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a training or instructional design role, preferably within a supply chain or logistics environment.
- Strong analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
- Familiarity with 3PL (third-party logistics) operations is a plus.
- Proficient in using various software applications including transportation management systems and SyteLine.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
