The Supervisor recruits, orientates, coordinates the training, supervises, evaluates and disciplines area employees. The supervisor is responsible for monitoring operational targets and adjusting in daily work to achieve those targets, ensuring safe work practices, and ensuring the safe functioning of area equipment. The supervisor leads and/or participates in departmental meetings and programs, and performs other duties as required. Tasks are completed using electronic programs whenever available. All tasks are to be completed with minimal supervision and following all applicable policies and standard operating procedures.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of a two-year management training program.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in supervisory capacity. Minimum 3 years' experience of related health care experience. Experience in employee scheduling. Experience in conducting customer satisfaction surveys/quality audits. Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality assurance. Proficiency in office procedures and computer applications in a Windows environment including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, Email, Internet and staff scheduling programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of interpreting collective agreements, and ability in coaching, teaching, and facilitating. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent written and oral communication. Self-motivated and self-directed, with the ability to contribute and function as a team. Supports a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
