Edsonview Farms Ltd. is a diversified farming operation specializing in fresh produce. We’re looking for a reliable and safety-minded driver to join our team for the harvest and shipping season.
Role
You will be responsible for transporting fresh produce from the farm to buyers, coolers, and distribution points using a 5-ton truck with hydraulic brakes. This is a seasonal/casual position with flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends depending on harvest schedules.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 5-ton truck with hydraulic brakes
- Load, secure, and deliver produce to various locations
- Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate with the farm office/dispatch
- Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Handle produce carefully to ensure quality is preserved
- Assist with general farm work
- Assist with harvesting operations
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (regular license – air brake endorsement not required)
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Comfortable driving medium-sized trucks in both rural and urban areas
- Ability to work flexible/extended hours during peak harvest
- Physically capable of assisting with loading/unloading if required
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
