Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate clients about our products, and ensure a welcoming and professional environment. This role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to manage retail transactions efficiently. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or hospitality are highly valued. The Budtender will play a key role in fostering customer loyalty and promoting responsible product use.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products tailored to their needs
- Educate customers on product effects, proper usage, and legal regulations
- Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the store environment is clean and inviting
- Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and assist with product filing and record keeping
- Use computer skills to update customer profiles, process orders, and generate reports using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Word
- Communicate effectively with customers in English; bilingual skills in French or other languages are a plus
- Demonstrate leadership qualities when assisting team members or managing busy periods
- Follow all safety protocols, including heavy lifting procedures when handling stock or supplies
- Uphold compliance with legal regulations regarding cannabis products and store policies
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, hospitality, or a customer service environment preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, computer operation, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and basic math skills required
- Multilingual abilities (English plus French or other languages) are advantageous for serving diverse clientele
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and inventory management
- Excellent communication skills to educate customers effectively and handle inquiries professionally
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and manage time efficiently during busy hours
- Prior leadership experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
