Hands- On Accounting Manager
A D/T Vancouver company that specializes in providing accounting services to junior mining public companies has an opportunity for a Hands On Accounting Manager to join their dynamic team.
Using your public practice background, you will work for an assigned group of companies that you will be providing accounting services for. You will benefit from receiving training on public company reporting and preparing IFRS Financial Statements.
JOB DUTIES
-Review work of Staff Accountants who process Accounts Payable
-Oversee, organize and schedule accurate entry of A/P, bank, and credit card transactions
-Record all daily/monthly bookkeeping / accounting transactions
-Coordinate payroll schedules and remittances for multiple clients
-Prepare and file GST and WCB returns
-Various reconciliations - bank, balance sheet, and general ledger
-Prepare monthly journal entries
-Prepare working papers (prepaid schedules, accruals schedules, A/P listings, etc.)
-Assist with financial analysis and year-end audit support
-Communicate directly with clients and resolve accounting queries
REQUIRED SKILL SET
-Several years of full-cycle bookkeeping/accounting experience in a public practice environment
-Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations
-Hands on experience with GST filings; payroll experience is an asset
-Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Experience with public companies is a strong asset
-Post-secondary education in Accounting is required

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
