Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical office settings, with strong administrative skills and familiarity with electronic medical records systems. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner at the front desk
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
- Maintain and update electronic medical records using MedAccess
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures for patients
- Handle administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing office supplies
- Coordinate appointment scheduling to optimize provider availability
- Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and office policies
- Support clinical staff with clerical duties as required
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant preferred
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such MedAccess (Telus)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Demonstrated experience working in a healthcare office environment or front desk setting
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently
- Office experience including administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scheduling
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism

Pay: $18.06-$25.16 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 24.0 per week
