Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled carpenter and general construction professional to perform high-quality structural woodwork, interior remodeling, and repairs on modular buildings and mobile office trailers. This role combines finish carpentry with hands-on construction work to refurbish leased units, ensuring they meet strict safety, quality, and aesthetic standards before deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structural & Finish Carpentry: Repair or replace subflooring, build wall framing, install exterior siding, and fit interior trim, molding, and cabinetry.
- Drywall & Interior Remodeling: Hang, tape, mud, texture, and paint drywall to restore walls and ceilings to a flawless finish.
- Flooring Installation: Remove damaged flooring and install commercial-grade vinyl tile (VCT), sheet vinyl, or carpet tile with precise alignment.
- General Repairs & Maintenance: Repair or replace interior doors, hardware, windows, weather stripping, and perform minor exterior roof patching.
- Systems Checks: Conduct basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on electrical fixtures and plumbing connections.
- Final Unit Inspection: Perform thorough make-ready inspections to ensure each unit is structurally sound, clean, and client-ready.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 2–3 years of professional carpentry, finish woodworking, or residential remodeling experience.
- Tool Proficiency: Skilled with miter saws, table saws, circular saws, pneumatic nail guns, and framing tools.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret and execute work from structural sketches, layouts, and technical manuals.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform continuous bending and standing.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precise measuring, cutting, and finishing to achieve high-quality, professional results.
Pay: $23.00 per hour
