Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various aspects of construction, including blueprint reading, concrete forming, restoration, siding, carpentry, and the operation of heavy equipment and power tools. This role involves working on diverse projects that require precision, safety awareness, and the ability to handle heavy lifting. The Carpenter will contribute to high-quality building and renovation projects, ensuring all work meets industry standards and client specifications.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project plans.
- Construct and install concrete forms, perform concrete finishing tasks, and assist with restoration projects.
- Install siding, framing, and other structural components using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely to facilitate construction activities.
- Use welding techniques to join metal components when necessary for structural integrity.
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for construction sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during daily operations.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience with concrete forming, finishing, and restoration work.
- Knowledge of siding installation, carpentry, woodworking, and framing techniques.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction machinery.
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and practices.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Prior construction experience is highly preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
