CLASSIFICATION
Educator- unionized position (Full Time 18 Months Maternity Leave)
DEPARTMENT
Flexible Care Program – Open 6 days a week. Days, evenings and weekend hours for childcare.
Current operating Hours- Monday – Saturday between the hours of 6:30 am to 9:30 pm
Possibility of schedule changing to 10 working hour shifts, 4 days on and 4 days off in future.
QUALIFICATIONS
RECE - College of ECE Membership in good standing
Standard First Aid and CPR
Police Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector
SKILLS, ABILITY AND EXPERIENCE
· Experience working with children
· Fluent in English written and verbal.
· Flexible
· Positive attitude
· Willingness to learn and work in a team setting
· Computer literacy skills
· Capacity to advocate for children and their families and work with a variety of family dynamics
· Acting as a role model for co-workers and students by promoting positive relationships in the work environment and setting professional goals and objectives for the program
· Supervision of volunteers and students
· Laundry and cleaning experience.
· Cooking and/or reheating of food
SHIFT
Monday – Saturday – each staff work 5 days a week - 7.5hrs shifts between the hours of 6:30 am to 9:30 pm
Possibility of schedule changing to 10 working hour shifts, 4 days on and 4 days off in the future
RATE OF PAY
RECE Rate $42,715.77 to $47,505.46 Annually + $2.00 WEG + other government grants + benefits
Non RECE Rate $35,784.68 to $39,086.19 Annually + $2.00 WEG + benefits
Annual increase as per the Collective Agreement
