Responsibilities
- Monitor premises through CCTV surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety and identify potential hazards or unauthorized access
- Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for record-keeping and reporting purposes
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing for theft or vandalism and taking appropriate action
- Enforce company policies and safety procedures consistently to uphold a secure environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is highly desirable
- Strong surveillance skills with familiarity in operating CCTV systems and monitoring multiple feeds simultaneously
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques to identify and prevent theft or damage
- Ability to remain alert and attentive during long shifts while maintaining professionalism under pressure
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members and the public
- Physical fitness to perform patrols that may involve standing, walking, or patrolling for extended periods
- Certification in security procedures or relevant legal requirements as mandated by local regulations is a plus
