Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Store Manager to lead our retail operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily store activities, driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and staff scheduling
- Recruit, train, and develop team members to ensure high performance and professional growth
- Manage payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting to meet store targets
- Oversee merchandising efforts to ensure attractive product displays and proper pricing strategies
- Handle purchasing decisions and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Ensure accurate cash handling, POS transactions, and bookkeeping procedures are followed
- Implement marketing initiatives to increase store visibility and sales
- Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and training sessions to foster a motivated team environment
- Maintain compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and operational standards
- Utilize strong communication skills to resolve customer issues promptly and effectively
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and develop strategies for continuous improvement
Skills
- Proven experience in retail management with supervising responsibilities
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent team management skills
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering procedures
- Effective negotiation skills for vendor contracts and purchasing agreements
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations tactfully
- Knowledge of merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple tasks
- Financial acumen including budgeting, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and math skills
- Effective communication skills including phone etiquette and interpersonal interactions
- Marketing knowledge to promote store offerings effectively within the community or online platforms
- Administrative experience with recordkeeping, inventory control, and organizational tools
