Westcan Aircraft is currently seeking a mechanic to perform the teardown of helicopters and to manage building maintenance. Job duties include (but are not limited to):
· Removal, cleaning, identifying and labelling individual parts, components, instruments, equipment, etc.
· Delivering and collecting parts to/from our off-site warehouse and to/from vendors in other cities
· Working with sales staff to prioritize items to be removed
· Identifying and managing any building maintenance requirements, including our 2 off-site hangars.
· Cleaning and organizing all 3 hangars
· Road trips to pick up or deliver complete aircraft
· Washing and detailing of company-owned aircraft
· Fueling and de-fueling company aircraft
Requirements:
· Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
· Be physically able to lift heavy items, not afraid of heights, and can work off a ladder when required
· Ability to work with minimal supervision and identify tasks requiring attention
· Valid class 5 license with a clean drivers abstract and experience towing a large trailer
· Computer literacy
Bonus skills:
· Heavy trailer endorsement
· Experience working in an on-airport environment
· Licensed AME with endorsement on Bell 407, Airbus AS-350, or Bell 212/412
