As a Human Capital Coordinator you will provide support for a broad range of human resources functions and administrative duties, delivering exceptional service to all internal and external customers. You will deliver quality work in one of Canada’s top John Deere dealer organizations through positive interactions in a friendly and collaborative environment that encourages learning and growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the Human Capital (HC) department functions and duties
- Support recruiting activities (screening interviews, reference checks, liaise with position supervisor/managers, etc.)
- Support managers in administration/scheduling of regularly occurring HC processes
- Facilitate new hire orientation and on-boarding requirements
- Support the employee and leadership interpretation of policies and procedures
- Provide guidance on workforce and succession planning
- Participate in HC and organizational meetings and committees
- Attend career events and participate in presentations
- General administration such as data entry, document preparation and distribution, legislative research, etc.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with co-workers and outside partners
- Participate in ongoing training/education to improve knowledge/skills
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in a Human Resources or relate field an asset (business, commerce, HR, etc.), combination of education/experience may be considered
- Must be professional and be able to exercise discretion and judgement when handling confidential/sensitive information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Employment Standards Act and relevant legislation an asset
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite and Internet applications, working knowledge of Dayforce an asset
- Valid driver’s license, and a willingness to be flexible with hours and travel as needed
