Our client operates a sawmill in Ladysmith, BC, as part of their forest products business. They are seeking a certified Millwright to join their maintenance team, ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical systems and machinery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting machinery, while adhering to strict safety protocols.

Responsibilities
- Repair and replace mechanical components and machinery as needed.
- Perform rigging, slinging, and welding tasks to maintain equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify solutions to minimize downtime.
- Follow hot work and lockout protocols to ensure safety during repairs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to optimize mechanical performance.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Work in shifts (days, afternoons, graveyards, or weekends) as operational needs require.

Qualifications
- Red Seal certification or a valid BC/Alberta Journeyperson Millwright license.
- Sawmill experience an asset.
- Strong safety record and commitment to workplace safety.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment drug testing.
