GENERAL LABOURER

Position Overview:
The General Labourer plays an important supporting role across a wide range of projects, including construction, dock work, and general cottage maintenance. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and is willing to learn and grow within the skilled trades.

Key Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist carpenters and skilled trades on construction and maintenance projects
- Load, unload, and transport materials and tools
- Prepare and clean job sites
- Assist with dock installation, repairs, and removal
- Perform general cottage maintenance tasks (e.g., openings, closings, property upkeep)
- Support roofing, framing, and finishing work as directed
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely
- Travel by boat to job sites, including island locations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:

- Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfort working in close proximity to water
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and perform manual labour tasks
Requirements:
· Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence (preferred)
· Valid Pleasure Craft Operator Card (asset or willingness to obtain)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal
Contract length: 6-12 months
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
