Responsibilities:
- Working collaboratively with patients, physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure positive drug therapy outcomes
- Performing medication reviews and medication management services as per the provincial standards
- Applying full scope of practice as a clinical pharmacist in Newfoundland & Labrador
- Patient counseling on selection and use of non-prescription medication
- Ensuring accurate pharmacotherapy
- Compounding prescribed pharmaceutical products
- Advising patients and health care professionals on the indications, contra-indications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage of medications
- Maintaining medication profiles of patients including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs
- Ensuring proper preparation, packaging, distribution and storage of vaccines, serums, biologicals and other drugs and pharmaceuticals
Requirements:
- Licensed and in good standing with the Newfoundland & Labrador Pharmacy Board (or eligible to become licensed)
- Strong sense of professionalism and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with patients, physicians, and healthcare partners
- Injection Certification
- Additional accreditation such as a CDE or a Geriatric Pharmacist is considered an asset
Total Compensation:
- Hourly rate range - $70 to $75 per hour
- Signing Bonus Potential up to $20,000 paid out upon offer signing (in return for a 2-year agreement)
- Retention Bonus Potential up to $20,000.00 (paid at the 12 month and 24 month)

Hours/Schedule:
- Work schedule requires 40 hours per week while working only 1 in every 3 weekends.
- Monday to Saturday – 8:30am to 9:00pm; Sunday - 10:30am to 9:00pm
