Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. Prior warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued to ensure smooth daily operations and continuous improvement in warehouse processes.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently
- Assist with order picking, packaging, and fulfillment to meet customer deadlines
- Manage shipping and receiving processes using warehouse management systems like AS400
- Conduct inventory counts and maintain accurate stock levels within the warehouse
- Perform basic maintenance on equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing products for shipment or storage
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during heavy lifting, equipment operation, and general warehouse activities
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency
- Assist in construction or assembly tasks as needed for warehouse setup or modifications
Experience
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, or order pickers is preferred
- Experience working within a warehouse environment involving shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, or manufacturing is highly desirable
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems like AS400 or similar platforms is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge or construction experience can be advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Previous roles involving order picking, packaging, load & unload operations, or warehouse distribution are beneficial
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse activities
