Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer to join our team at Ponoka County Bluffton Landfill. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks that support the overall operations of our projects. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. As a Laborer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that work sites are safe, organized, and efficient. Heavy Equipment experience is an asset. Must be available to work Saturdays. Must have valid drivers license and vehicle as our site is spread out.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and supplies.
- Perform general site clean-up to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools as needed.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
- Support skilled tradespeople in their duties as required.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure personal and team safety.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
Skills
- Strong physical stamina, and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is preferred but not required.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Attention to detail with a focus on safety practices.
- Ability to follow directions accurately and efficiently.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks as needed.
- Heavy Equipment experience an asset.
- Must have valid drivers license
