As Cook/ Kitchen Helper you will have a dual role within our food services team. You will be integral to our kitchen team, responsible for food preparation, cooking, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Reporting to the Food Services Manager, you will utilize your restaurant and kitchen experience to deliver high-quality meals while adhering to food handling guidelines. Your First Aid Certification and FoodSafe training will enhance our commitment to a safe working environment. This role offers the potential to transition into part-time, allowing you to further develop your culinary skills in a supportive and dynamic setting.
Qualifications:
Strong in customer service and willing to go the extra mile for our residents
· The ability to anticipate resident needs
· A high degree of respect and work in a team culture
· Effectively communicates and interacts with residents, family members and visitors in a professional manner
· Experience cooking in an institutional setting would be an asset
· Food Safe Certification
· First Aid Certification or willing to complete in the first 3 months
· Clear Criminal Record Check for the vulnerable sector
Training will be provided for the right candidate.
Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
