Role Summary:
Reporting to the IT Director, this role manages and secures endpoints and our core IT environment with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies. While the role includes an element of user support, the emphasis is on system administration, security controls, patching, deployment, and compliance.
Work Arrangement & Hours:
On‑site presence is expected (Etobicoke, ON), prospects for hybrid arrangements may be arranged post‑hire. Core work occurs during daytime hours. Planned maintenance windows are scheduled in evenings and weekends and will be balanced with daytime scheduling. Must have flexibility to work evenings instead of days from time to time!
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and reinforce Windows endpoints and related services.
- Manage patching, deployment, policies, baselines, and other standards enforcement.
- Perform health checks; monitor alerts; remediate vulnerabilities and incidents.
- Support access management and enforce security practices in line with policy.
- Improve and document operational procedures and device baselines.
- Provide periodic reports to the IT Director.
- Liaise with Third Parties related to Infrastructure and Security Support.
- Assist colleagues in the effective and secure use of technology.
Requirements:
- 8-10 years’ experience in endpoint/server management and security across all Microsoft platforms (O365, Intune, Defender, Entra, Azure, GPO, Server)
- Some general IT staff support may be required.
- We are a small IT shop and each wear several hats to get the job done. Be a team player!
Pay: $55,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Etobicoke, ON M8X 1C1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
