We are seeking an experienced Financial planning and analysis lead to oversee consulting services and analytics for the Toronto Financial services Sector. This role requires a strategic leader with strong financial acumen, operational expertise, and the ability to adapt to evolving macro-economic conditions. The successful candidate will manage business performance, ensure compliance, and drive operational efficiency while delivering actionable insights to executive management.
Provide consulting support, financial insights, and analytics to executive leadership teams to support strategic decision-making.
Monitor macro-economic and business trends, and recommend operational and financial adjustments to improve performance and resilience.
Prepare and deliver executive-level financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior stakeholders, leadership committees, and the board.
Translate complex financial and business data into clear insights, trends, and actionable recommendations.
Lead the annual budgeting process, including coordination with business units, consolidation of inputs, and development of long-range financial plans.
Prepare monthly financial forecasts and variance analysis reports comparing actual performance against budget and prior periods.
Develop financial models to support scenario planning, business forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
Identify financial variances and recommend corrective actions and strategic initiatives to improve financial outcomes.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team responsible for:
Monthly business performance reporting and analysis
Billing, accounts receivable, and work-in-progress tracking
Contract management and project setup/maintenance activities
Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and compliance standards.
Oversee workload distribution, quality assurance, and timely delivery of all reporting and operational outputs.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
Drive automation and continuous improvement of forecasting processes, financial systems, and data analytics tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Serve as the primary point of contact for ad hoc financial analysis, reporting requests, and issue resolution.
Identify operational inefficiencies and implement innovative solutions to streamline processes and enhance financial and operational performance
