Part-Time Home Care Worker (HSW/PSW)
Schedule: Part-Time | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers (HSW/PSW) to provide exceptional care and support to clients in their own homes. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about improving the quality of life for seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness by helping them maintain their independence in a safe and comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Provide personal care and monitor clients’ overall well-being.
- Assist with medication reminders or administration, where permitted and appropriately trained.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when required.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe living environment.
- Support clients with transfers and mobility, using proper lifting techniques and equipment as required.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with errands, grocery shopping, and transportation to appointments when needed.
- Accurately document care provided and report any changes in clients’ health or condition to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in home care, assisted living, long-term care, nursing home, or hospice settings preferred.
- Experience providing care to seniors, individuals with dementia, or people with disabilities is an asset.
- Knowledge of personal care, infection prevention, and medication assistance.
- Compassionate, patient, and professional attitude.
- Ability to safely assist with client transfers and mobility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
