Job duties:
We are looking for a Junior Inventory Assistant to join our team, this position requires to be on our office on Mississauga, 5 days a week .The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the inventory department including receiving, logging and picking and organizing materials, tracking stock, identifying and cataloging items and assisting with reports and software.
1. Inventory Management:
Demonstrate proficiency in using inventory management software and systems.
Implement effective inventory control procedures to minimize errors and discrepancies.
2. Data Entry and Accuracy:
Achieve high accuracy in data entry while updating and maintaining inventory records.
Identify and rectify discrepancies in inventory data through thorough investigation.
3. Stock Replenishment:
Understand the principles of stock replenishment and participate in restocking activities.
Analyze stock levels and make recommendations for reorder points to prevent stockouts.
4. Product Familiarity:
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the features, specifications, and applications of the company's products.
Identify and describe key product attributes, benefits, and unique selling points.
5. Product Categorization:
Classify products into relevant categories or types based on their characteristics and functionalities.
Differentiate between various product lines and articulate distinctions between similar products.
6. Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with team members to achieve efficient and accurate inventory management.
Communicate effectively with other departments to address inventory-related issues.
7. Problem Solving:
Develop problem-solving skills to address overstock, understock, and damaged goods.
Propose and implement solutions to improve overall inventory efficiency.
8. Time Management:
Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Learn to balance routine tasks with unexpected challenges to maintain smooth operations.
9. Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with internal stakeholders or external partners regarding inventory-related inquiries.
Address and resolve customer complaints related to inventory issues.
10. Documentation and Reporting:
Create and maintain accurate documentation of inventory transactions.
Generate regular reports on inventory levels, turnover, and other relevant metrics.
11. Safety and Compliance:
Understand and adhere to safety protocols for handling inventory, especially in industries with specific regulations (e.g., hazardous materials).
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations governing inventory management.
12. Professional Development:
Engage in continuous learning by staying informed about industry best practices in inventory management.
Seek feedback and actively participate in training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
13. Adaptability:
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in handling changes in inventory processes, technology, or organizational structure.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for our proprietary software, SQL databases, web servers, and digital media screens.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot hardware and software related to the systems.
- Develop scripts to automate system maintenance tasks.
- Assist in the design of new systems or modifications to existing systems.
- Provide training to users on the use of hardware and software related to the systems.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding technical issues.
- Document all technical support activities in a timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Education & Skill Requirements:
- College diploma or certificate.
- 1- 2 years of experience in a similar positio
Job Type: Full-time
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
