Contract IT Data Analyst:
On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for a Contract IT Data Analyst for a 12 month contract. This position is an onsite position at our client’s Calgary office.
Contract IT Data Analyst - Job Description:
Focus on using data and automation to solve business problems and improve efficiency within our organization's IT/OT systems. The role involves collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify trends and create actionable insights, which are then communicated to stakeholders to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
Contract IT Data Analyst - Responsibilities:
- Gathering data from various sources, including databases, systems, and potentially external sources.
- Developing and maintaining data collection and storage systems.
- Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and quality.
- Applying statistical techniques and tools to analyze data.
- Identifying trends, patterns, and correlations within the data.
- Developing data models to support analysis and predictions.
- Creating visualizations, reports, dashboards, and write-back dashboards.
- Communicating insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Troubleshoot and identify optimization opportunities.
Contract IT Data Analyst - Mandatory Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL, competency in Python, Power BI.
- Experience in data modeling and processing techniques.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Clear and effective communication of complex information.
Contract IT Data Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Databricks, PI Data Historian, MS SQL Server.
- Experience with other data visualization tools, REST API programming.
- Understanding of the upstream oil & gas industry, specifically Process Data, SCADA, Field Data Capture, SAP.
Contract IT Data Analyst – Assignment Length:
This is a contingent worker position for 12 months.
