ExquisiCare is an Edmonton based provider of Residential Style Continuing Care. We are expanding and seeking qualified and passionate nurses for the position of
"Elder Guide"
The ExquisiCare Elder Guide is an LPN who loves caring for and bettering the lives of our communities greatest treasures, our elders. As the Elder Guide you will be responsible for all of the day to day operations in an exquisite 10-bedroom estate home, where we provide for the physical, emotional and social needs of our elderly residents. In addition to monitoring health status and providing personal care, you must have a passion for caring for the whole person. This includes their nutritional, recreational, social and spiritual needs. You are a leader in the home, ensuring staff are performing excellent care in a loving and kind hearted manner. You will directly supervise all the staff in the home. You will also interact with the families and other care providers on a regular basis, to ensure all facets of our elder's care is being coordinated and delivered with the highest quality of care and attention to their individual needs.
Qualifications
- A Positive Attitude and a True Passion for Elder Care!
- Registration to ‘full scope of practice’ with CLPNA
- CPR/First Aid
- Dementia care training an asset
- Knowledge of community resources available to seniors
- Strong customer service focus
- Ability to read, write and speak impeccable English
Work Experience
- Experience working with the elderly required; 3 – 5 years experience working in Long Term Care or Assisted Living
- Experience working with families, guardians and professional groups an asset
- Managerial Experience an asset
- Service industry experience an asset
