The Medical Radiation Technologist II (MRT) performs all routine radiographic/fluoroscopic, computed tomography and interventional procedures, and may work in a specialized area and/or coordinate daily work activities of the MRT team. The MRT II also produces radiographs of high diagnostic quality in an efficient and safe manner while attending to the diagnostic and care needs of patients undergoing diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. The MRT II is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Graduate of a recognized Medical Radiation Technologist program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) required. BLS (Level C - Health Care Provider) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Recent Acute care hospital experience. Strong technical, communication, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current CT certification or advanced training in Computed Tomography or working toward your CTIC. Current CPR certification preferred. Experience in acute care or emergency imaging considered an asset.
