As a Cook, reporting to the Director of Food Services, you will play an important role in preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents. You will ensure all food is prepared safely, served on time, and meets food safety and sanitation standards. Shifts are scheduled between 6:15 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and weekend availability is required.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Experience in quantity cooking in a Long-Term Care setting for a minimum of 2 years
- Chef training is an asset
- Food Service Worker Certificate is an asset
- Knowledgeable of Dietary Policies, W.H.M.I.S, Health and Safety Policies
- Knowledgeable of Long-Term Care Homes Act
- Must be able to work independently as well as being a team plater with leadership ability
- Excellent customer service skills
DUTIES MAY INCLUDE
- Preparing and serving meals for up to 300 people
- Proper portioning of food and beverages
- Dishwashing
- Ensuring proper sanitization of work areas in accordance to Public Health
- Proper receiving and storage of food
- Other duties as assigned
Pay: $20.75-$22.54 per hour
