Gastops’ products and services add value throughout the life cycle of complex critical equipment from the design stage through to in-service operations and support. We design, manufacture, and support advanced equipment sensing and analysis products, including on-line oil debris sensors, torque measurement sensors, turbine blade health sensors, and at-line oil analysis systems.
This role helps manage engineering product data throughout its lifecycle. You will keep information accurate and up to date, support and track engineering changes, and assist with related meetings, reporting, audits, and process improvements. Working with cross-functional teams, you’ll also provide basic user support and help develop simple data tools. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with data systems, with a strong focus on accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do:

Support Configuration Management Activities — Assist with configuration identification, product structuring, and baseline management for engineering product development projects.

Coordinate Change Management Processes — Support engineering changes for products in production by reviewing change requests for compliance to established standards, organizing and facilitating change control board (CCB) meetings, tracking change status, and following up on action items.

Contribute to Process Improvement — Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance configuration management processes, tools, and methodologies.

Support Audit Activities — Assist in planning and executing configuration management audits, ensuring alignment with industry standards and organizational objectives.

Produce Reports & Metrics — Develop and maintain configuration audit reports, status reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support visibility and decision-making.

Develop Data Analysis Tools — Design and implement tools and scripts (e.g., MS Access or similar) to organize, compare, and analyze engineering data across PLM, ERP, and related systems.

Provide User Support & Training — Deliver training, coaching, and ongoing support to end users on configuration processes, tools, and reporting capabilities.

Adapt to Changing Priorities — Manage workload effectively and adjust priorities as needed to meet evolving program timelines and business requirements.
What You Bring:

Education & Certifications — Diploma or degree in engineering technology, IT, or a related technical field. Entry-level or working toward certifications (e.g., CMII) considered an asset

Experience Level — Minimum 5 years of experience in configuration management, document control, or a related technical support role

Configuration Management Foundation — Solid hands-on experience supporting configuration identification, control, status accounting, and verification activities in a structured environment.

Familiarity with CM Tools — Working knowledge of tools such as Windchill, Arena Empower, Teamcenter, Epicore, Business Central, SAP, or similar systems for managing configuration data and documentation.

Change Control Support Experience — Experience participating in engineering change processes (ECR/ECO/ECN), ensuring proper documentation, tracking, and implementation of changes.

Document & Data Management Skills — Ability to maintain accurate records, manage controlled documents, and support bill of materials (BOM) updates and version control.

Understanding of Standards & Processes — Basic to intermediate knowledge of applicable standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO10007, or SAE-EIA-649C) and compliance practices.

Attention to Detail — Strong accuracy in data entry, validation, and audits, ensuring integrity of configuration information.

Analytical Thinking — Ability to identify inconsistencies, investigate discrepancies, and support resolution with guidance from senior team members.

Cross-Functional Coordination — Experience working with engineering, quality, production, or IT teams to gather and maintain configuration data.

Salary Range for this position: $65,000–$85,000 (final compensation will be based on experience, skills, and fit)
