Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Massage Therapist or RMT to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide professional massage services to promote relaxation, alleviate pain, and improve overall well-being for our clients. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service, ensuring each client receives a personalized and satisfying experience.
Duties
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or other modalities. Experience or skilled in Thai Massage would be an asset but can be aquired.
- Assess client conditions and discuss treatment goals to develop customized therapy plans.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic environment by following proper sanitation protocols for equipment and treatment areas.
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend appropriate follow-up treatments or wellness practices.
- Keep detailed records of client treatments, progress, and preferences for future reference.
- Ensure excellent customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere and addressing client questions or concerns professionally.
- Stay current with industry best practices and participate in ongoing training or professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Valid massage therapy license or certification as required by provincial or municipal regulations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to health and wellness is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
- Excellent communication skills to explain treatment procedures and address client needs clearly.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a caring attitude at all times.
- Prior experience in a spa or wellness setting is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed.
- Commitment to adhering to health and safety standards, including proper sanitation practices.
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
