We are looking for multiple Production Team Members to join our vinyl window manufacturing plant in London, Ontario.
Job Description
-
Complete all tasks associated with the assembly, production and packaging of custom-built vinyl windows

Read and interpret production orders for specifications such as material type, size, and color
-
Operate industrial fabrication equipment to process material (i.e. saws, punches, drills, routers, etc.)

Operate pneumatic hand tools in the fabrication and assembly process

Assemble and install insulated glass panels into sash and/or frame
-
Install and attach hardware
-
Package, wrap, and stack completed units for shipment

Actively participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Communicate with Lead Hand and Supervisor(s) on safety or process related issues

Adhere to plant safety rules, health and safety policies and procedures

Other activities/work as assigned by Lead Hand or Supervisor(s)
Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Previous manufacturing or construction experience considered an asset

Ability to read and comprehend basic work instructions, standard procedures, and production orders

Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Ability to read and understand a basic tape measure to an increment of 1/16 inch
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent and sustained basis

Capability to stand and move frequently while performing repetitive assembly tasks

Possess a collaborative, team-driven attitude. Team members rely on each other to complete required tasks in order to meet daily and weekly production schedules, and as a result a good attendance record and a team focus is critical

Be quality and precision-driven, and able to follow all quality and safety requirements

Have a customer service mentality and a strong desire to meet daily production goals so the organization can meet and exceed customer expectations

Previous experience in a team assembly environment
Additional information

Starting Wage: $25.46/hr + afternoon shift premium
-
Position requires standing and walking for prolonged periods of time
-
Personal Protective Equipment must be worn as assigned by the company including but not limited to safety glasses, steel-toed safety shoes and hearing protection
-
Must be willing to work rotating shifts – 2 weeks days and 2 weeks afternoons
-
NOT on a bus route
