Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and familiarity with dental office operations. Experience with electronic medical records and dental management software is highly preferred. The Dental Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and check them in using electronic medical records systems such as Abeldent
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments via multi-line phone systems
- Verify patient insurance information and process billing or payments accordingly
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the electronic medical records system
- Assist with front desk administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and managing correspondence
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed
- Prepare treatment room schedules and coordinate with clinical staff to ensure timely patient care
- Manage patient inquiries regarding appointments, billing, or insurance coverage
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting is highly desirable
- Proficiency with dental management software such as Abeldent is a plus
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently and professionally
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and office administrative procedures
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Previous office experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor to create a positive patient experience
Pay: $17.60-$25.00 per hour
