We are well established and growing industrial flexible packaging manufacturer in business since 1959.
We are looking for a Experienced Flexographic Printing Press Set up person for an immediate full-time position in North York.
Qualifications & Skills Requirements:
- Knowledge to Set up 6 colour Flexo printing press.
- Sets up, adjusts, maintains and operates a flexographic press - Works under minimum supervision.
- Install the printing plate with the images to be printed.
- Thorough understanding of imposition, trapping, troubleshooting, colour correction.
- Must have the ability to think through the mechanical aspects of press operations, problem solving and decision making.
- Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation for pressroom operations.
- Ensure tools and supplies are properly maintained.
- Perform required maintenance and daily housekeeping on the press and surrounding area.
- Work closely with teams/departments to create an environment that supports workflow and continuous improvements of all pressroom operations.
- Work safely, abide by and promote established safety policies and procedures. Identify and follow-up on unsafe conditions.
- Understand solvent ink as it relates to the process of printing.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Self-motivated, punctual, consistent, productive as well as efficient
- Must be detail-oriented with little supervision.
- At least 3 year of Flexographic Printing Press Set Up experience.
