We’re hiring a Project Manager to drive the delivery of our structured cabling projects—from planning and coordination to execution and final handover. Duties And Responsibilities
Planning & Execution
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with business and client requirements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans following established project management and change control methodologies.
- Coordinate with internal teams (design, estimating, operations) to schedule project tasks and manage dependencies and critical paths.
- Ensure project timelines and expectations are clearly communicated to team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Communication Management
- Provide clear, concise, and timely communication across the organization and to clients.
- Lead effective project meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and follow-ups.
- Maintain professional written and verbal communication at all stages of the project.
- Address and escalate issues promptly and tactfully when needed.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Oversee day-to-day project activities and provide strong leadership to internal teams and field staff.
- Manage expectations of all project participants—including clients, vendors, contractors, and internal leadership.
- Work closely with vendors and suppliers to evaluate solutions, secure materials, and ensure timely delivery in accordance with project requirements.
- Ensure all vendor activities adhere to statements of work and quality standards.
Risk, Issue & Scope Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; maintain clear accountability for monitoring potential challenges throughout the project.
- Proactively manage project issues, changes, and potential impacts to schedule, budget, or scope.
- Ensure project documentation—including business cases, requirements, and scope changes—is accurate and up to date.
- Maintain alignment with the project charter and company objectives.
Financial Management
- Develop project budgets and resource plans for internal and subcontracted work.
- Track costs, monitor variances, and report any expected budget impacts in a timely manner.
- Recommend corrective actions to maintain financial control and meet project goals.
Skills, Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of project coordination or project management experience, preferably in low-voltage systems, or structured cabling.
- PMP certification or other project management credential is an asset.
- Knowledge of structured cabling standards (TIA, BICSI) is a strong asset.
- Proven experience delivering complex projects within multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong understanding of project management best practices and methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
- Comfortable working with technologies of varying complexity and learning new systems as required.
- Experience supporting organizational process improvements and technology implementations.
- Strong problem-solving and risk assessment capabilities.
- Ability to maintain effective client and vendor relationships; experience in the structured cabling industry is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled in facilitation, conflict resolution, team leadership, and process transparency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Weekends Availability
- Occasional weekend and after-hours availability may be required to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
