Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food service, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves supervising staff, managing restaurant functions, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high levels of hospitality. The Restaurant Manager will play a key role in fostering a positive team environment and ensuring the smooth running of all restaurant activities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and perform daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving processes
- Supervise and manage restaurant staff, including interviewing and training new team members
- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling procedures
- Lead team management efforts to motivate staff, monitor performance, and promote teamwork
- Maintain excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Coordinate food industry best practices to optimize kitchen efficiency and quality control
- Oversee food presentation, food safety protocols, and kitchen operations to ensure consistency and quality
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, inventory management, and reporting
- Foster a welcoming hospitality environment that encourages guest loyalty and positive reviews
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food service operations
- Knowledge and experience of kitchen processes including food preparation, cooking, and food handling
- Experience with restaurant management systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Background in customer service within the food industry or hospitality sector
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Prior experience in hotel or barista roles is advantageous but not required
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
