Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties:
Students take part in an independent project involving a research topic under the supervision of a faculty member in the Department of Kinesiology at McMaster University. The project involves developing a research proposal, a literature review, design of methodology, data collection and analysis, a research report appropriate to the sub-discipline, and an oral presentation. The instructor will be responsible for liaising with all thesis supervisors associated with the course, delivery of in-person lectures, and will be expected to follow the current assessment structure used for the course.
Required Qualifications:
PhD. in Kinesiology (preferred) or related discipline with thesis based experiential education experience. Successful candidate will be responsible for developing course content, however the current course instructor will make available all course materials (e.g., lecture notes, presentation slides, etc.) should the candidate wish to refer to them.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience coordinating and/or teaching a research based experiential education course.

- Supplemented Fees- 15.02 In addition to the wages as set out in Article 15.01 and Schedule A of the Collective Agreement, the employee shall be eligible to receive supplemented fees as set out in this Article and Schedule B. The actual rate of pay, when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount. If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing then the employee shall receive the difference.
