Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and experienced Farm Hand to join our team. This role involves assisting with daily farm operations, maintaining the grounds, caring for livestock, operating machinery, maintaining farm buildings and equipment, and supporting various agricultural activities.
The ideal candidate will enjoy outdoor work, possess a strong work ethic, and be self-motivated with the ability to work independently. They take pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and productive farm environment.

Duties
- Perform gardening tasks including planting, watering, weeding, pruning, and harvesting crops.
- Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes for various farm activities.
- Support with mechanical tasks involving basic troubleshooting and minor repairs of farm equipment.
- Carry out heavy lifting of supplies, soil bags, plants, or equipment as needed to support daily operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency.
- Assist with general farm chores such as feeding animals (if applicable), fencing repairs, and landscape upkeep.
- Follow safety protocols during all activities and report any hazards or issues promptly.
Experience
- Minimum of 2–3 years of previous farm labour experience is required.
- Only applicants with prior farm work experience will be considered.
- Experience caring for livestock, including poultry and other farm animals.
- Experience safely operating tractors, mowers, and other farm equipment.
- Strong understanding of farm safety procedures and general equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Basic mechanical and repair skills are considered a strong asset.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting and extended periods of standing outdoors.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn new skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year.
- Comfortable working around livestock, machinery, dust, mud, and uneven terrain.
Working Conditions
- Primarily outdoor work in all seasons.
- Flexible hours may be required depending on weather, livestock needs, and seasonal workloads.
- Occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
Safety Expectations
- Follow all farm safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Operate all equipment safely and responsibly.
- Report hazards, injuries, equipment malfunctions, or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
