Role Summary:
As a Field Technician, you will play a crucial role in servicing water treatment sites in accordance with local regulations requirements. This hands-on role involves monitoring critical water quality parameters, such as pH and turbidity, to meet site specifications. Adherence to safety protocols and proactive customer service are essential components of this position. This position is mainly in job sites within Calgary, although certain job sites may require travel /or out of town work depending on availability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the setup and removal of systems at project sites, ensuring timely execution
- Perform regular maintenance, and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Monitor pH and turbidity levels, conduct water sampling, and communicate project status to all stakeholders
- Accurately track equipment movements and manage consumable replenishment
- Create service reports and fill out log sheets as required for each site
- Adhere to safety procedures and actively participate in safety initiatives to foster a safe working environment
- Maintain strong customer relationships, addressing complaints and gathering feedback throughout projects
- In-charge of shipping and receiving, maintenance and repair, and maintaining inventory in the warehouse
- Be available for on-call and emergency situations as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1 year of previous work experience preferably within the Water Treatment / Construction industry
- Self-starter with strong initiative
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory
- Ability to lift heavy loads of up to 50lbs
- Ability to work unsupervised throughout the workday
- Willingness to travel consecutive days and work overtime as needed, particularly during rainy seasons.
- Post-secondary education in a technical or environmental field is preferred
- Field or site experience is preferred

Work Environment:
The Field Technician will work primarily at various water management sites, which may vary in location and complexity. This role involves regular driving to and from these sites. Technicians will encounter a range of environments, from urban settings to remote locations, while working closely with various teams to ensure optimal water treatment operations.

At Stormtec, an offer of employment is dependent on reference checks with direct managers/supervisors and background check, which mainly includes Canadian Criminal Check, Drug & Alcohol Test, and MVR check.
