Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for all guests. Prior experience in cleaning or hospitality is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals committed to providing exceptional service. WHMIS certification an asset. Candidate must be physically fit and be able to stand, walk, bend for several hours. Our hotel is pet friendly, and the candidate will be cleaning pet rooms. Other duties may be assigned such as window washing, deep cleaning, washing walls, etc.
Duties
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies
- Ensure bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned and stocked with necessary amenities
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as hallways, lobbies, and restrooms
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly
- Follow safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Adhere to hotel policies regarding guest privacy and confidentiality
- Assist with additional cleaning tasks as needed, including industrial or custodial cleaning when required
Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning, custodial work, or hospitality is required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and reaching
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required
- Reliable transportation is preferred for timely arrival at work shifts
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.00-$16.50 per hour
