Job Title: Store Person
Reports to: Storeroom Supervisor
Position Overview: Reporting to the Lead Storeroom Supervisor, the Storeroom Coordinator is responsible to supervise the daily activities, workload and safety for the Storeroom Department. Ensure accuracy of storeroom inventory receipts, courteous, professional service to our internal/external customers, and prompt resolution of issues.
Job Description:
- Check incoming food items for quality and quantity as per ordered
- Ensure proper date codes are in place and refrigerated racks are clean at all times
- Maintain storage, security, and rotation of food as per HACCP regulations
- Daily issuing & receiving of stock items from store rooms area
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents
- Record shortages and reject damaged goods
- Oversee the loading and unloading of the goods
- Organize and keeps the Storeroom in an orderly and hygienic manner
- Daily inventory and place orders through Purchasing
- Advise Purchasing of any issues with products or suppliers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Experience:
- Ability to read and write in English
- Must be able to work in freezers/coolers (1-4 hours/day)
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50lbs at shoulder & height level
- Shipping/receiving experience is an asset
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and HACCP processes is an asset
- Experience with large volume of receiving food items and work in a fast paced environment
- Effective problem solving skills
- Detail orientated
- Ability to work in high volume of food products
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Food and Food Safety
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate decision making and critical thinking skills
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.80 per hour
