Chief of Staff
- Canadian Advanced Air Mobility (CAAM)
- Hybrid - Canada
- Application Deadline: August 7, 2026
About CAAM
We are Canadian Advanced Air Mobility - CAAM for short.
Advanced Air Mobility, or AAM, is the emerging aviation ecosystem focused on moving people, goods, and essential services more efficiently between urban, regional, and remote communities. It brings together electric and hydrogen-powered aircraft, remotely piloted aircraft systems, new infrastructure, digital technologies, and evolving operational models.
In practical terms, AAM represents the next evolution of aviation: building on Canada’s existing aviation system and infrastructure to bring new aircraft, technologies, and use cases into safe, practical operation.
CAAM is Canada’s national industry association for Advanced Air Mobility. We bring together organizations across government, industry, academia, airports, operators, manufacturers, technology developers, Indigenous communities, and regional economic development organizations to help prepare Canada for commercial AAM operations.
Our work focuses on turning emerging technologies into safe, practical, and scalable operations. This includes supporting regulatory coordination, infrastructure planning, regional connectivity, aircraft integration, workforce development, investment, research, and collaboration across the Canadian and international ecosystem.
Canada has an opportunity to become a global leader in the responsible adoption of Advanced Air Mobility. CAAM is helping build the collaborative environment required to test ideas, develop policy, prepare infrastructure, strengthen supply chains, and support the introduction of new aircraft and services into the existing aviation system.
We are also committed to ensuring that the future of aviation is shaped by a broad range of voices, experiences, and perspectives. Through initiatives such as the Uplift Series and ARISE Program, CAAM creates space to recognize and learn from women, Indigenous leaders, LGBTQ+ professionals, and other communities that have historically been underrepresented across aviation and aerospace.
The future of aviation is already taking shape. We invite you to help us build it safely, collaboratively, and with purpose.
About the Role
CAAM is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and relationship-focused Chief of Staff to work directly with our Executive Director, support the broader CAAM team, and collaborate closely with partners across Canada’s Advanced Air Mobility ecosystem.
As an extension of the Executive Director, you will take ownership of a wide range of strategic and operational priorities. Your work will span solving day-to-day organizational challenges, driving alignment across the team, advancing critical initiatives, and ensuring that important projects move from planning into execution.
You will also help increase the Executive Director’s effectiveness by supporting the prioritization of meetings, communications, relationships, and organizational commitments. This will include making informed decisions on their behalf, maintaining accountability on commitments, identifying emerging issues, and removing bottlenecks that could slow the organization’s progress.
This is an opportunity to work directly with leaders across Canada’s aviation and aerospace ecosystem, including airports, operators, manufacturers, technology companies, government agencies, academic institutions, regional organizations, and international partners.
Your work will help improve regional connectivity, support cleaner aviation technologies, strengthen Canada’s aerospace sector, and prepare communities and aviation infrastructure for the next generation of operations.
CAAM will be open to candidates seeking a full time, part time or contract position for the role.

- Relationship-oriented: You enjoy connecting people, building trust, and creating long-term value through collaboration.
- Comfortable with ambiguity: You are energized by emerging industries and are willing to help build processes, programs, and systems that may not yet have an established playbook.
