Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Paint Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on paint products and colour solutions, tinting paint, and driving high-end sales through exceptional service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, sales experience, and a passion for home improvement. Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting paint products, finishes, and colour schemes based on their renovation or construction needs
- Provide product information to showcase features and benefits of various paints and coatings
- Upsell premium products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities
- Manage inside sales transactions using POS systems, including cash handling and account management
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients through effective communication and personalized service
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays and ensuring product availability
- Provide technical advice on application techniques, surface preparation, and colour matching
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote new products or special promotions
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor to enhance the customer shopping experience
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and competitor offerings to better serve customers
Skills
- Proven experience in retail or high-end sales, preferably in renovation or construction industries
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, cash handling, and account management software
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a bonus for serving diverse customers
- Knowledge of merchandising, product demos, upselling techniques, and inside sales strategies
- Basic math skills for calculating measurements, estimates, and pricing
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple customer interactions simultaneously
