Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Oilfield services trucking company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with experience in heavy duty truck and trailer repairs. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on heavy machinery and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and analysis skills
- Repair or replace faulty components, including motors, belts, valves, and wiring
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards during all maintenance activities
- Collaborate with management to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in heavy truck and trailer repair
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Good communication skills in English for documentation and teamwork purposes
