Position Overview:
This full-time position is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, while also supporting the church’s worship and communication needs through high-quality AV operations and creative contributions.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities Maintenance & Caretaking:
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs and safety issues.
- Perform general facility upkeep, including minor repairs and equipment maintenance.
- Execute commercial cleaning tasks; maintain cleanliness in restrooms, common areas, and offices.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts.
- Assist with event and meeting setups, including furniture and staging (must be able to lift heavy objects).
- Respond to maintenance and cleaning requests promptly and courteously.
Audio-Visual & Technical Operations:
- Operate and maintain sound, lighting, livestream, and projection systems for worship services, concerts, and events.
- Set up and manage AV equipment in coordination with ministers, musicians, and rental clients.
- Troubleshoot AV issues during live events with efficiency and professionalism.
- Ensure equipment is properly stored, maintained, and upgraded as needed.
Office & Creative Support:
- Support the Office Manager in preparing presentation slides and service graphics.
- Operate ProPresenter during services, ensuring smooth transitions and correct content display.
- Assist in creating and editing digital graphics and visual media for worship and communication purposes.
- Provide general administrative and technical support to the church office as required.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in facilities maintenance and/or custodial services..
- Familiarity with ProPresenter, livestreaming platforms, and basic sound system operations.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, respectful communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
- Creative skills in graphics or media production are an asset.
- Physically capable of lifting moderate to heavy equipment as required.
